Job responsibilities:

·         Administer complex Unix-based systems in a multi-tiered architecture, generally from the operating system or application level and up.
·         Assist with debugging of issues in both the production environment as well as the staging environment
·         Work closely with the Dev/QA team on new projects/requirements to ensure changes are sound and maintainable in production
·         Be part of Mobile SE team helping with production launches as well as code pushes
·         Take on-call rotations
·         Be able to communicate issues and resolutions to a wide audience
·         Ensure that issues are dealt with in a timely fashion, and work to ensure that they only happen once
·         Operate in a team spread out across the globe

Job Qualifications:

Experience working with Unix-based servers and open source software; Client uses FreeBSD, LAMP (Linux, Apache, PHP, Nagios and MySQL) and the ideal candidate should be comfortable with all of these technologies.

·         Ability to debug issues on a Unix environment in a multi-tiered architecture
·         Understanding of common internet protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, etc…) and ways to troubleshoot these
·         Understanding of common network technologies (Akamai, VIPs, GSLB, etc…)
·         Understanding of redundancy and reliability and ways to achieve these
·         Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously with multiple requirements
·         Thorough understanding of the software development life-cycle
·         Good documentation and communication skills
·         Ability to work in a fast paced environment independently and meet deadlines
·         Attention to details
·         Desire to work as a part of a team; strong interpersonal skills relating to cooperation and collaboration
·         Drive to take on responsibilities and do whatever it takes to get the job done (and then organize things to make your life easier)
·         Extensive Linux system administration background
·         Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, including application and network-level troubleshooting ability
·         Strong programming skills in one or more of: C, Perl, Python, Ruby
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·         Experience working with development teams
·         5+ years experience with Linux (RHEL a plus)
·         5+ years experience administering large-scale UNIX installations (ISP background a plus)
·         Experience with SQL and commonly deployed database systems
·         Degree in Computer Science

QlikView Senior developer with a minimum of 4 years hands-on development experience.

Overall experience: At least 8 years

·         4+ years of QlikView experience in development, testing and production support

·         Expert level knowledge of QlikView; Scripting, able to write and manage 1000s of lines of Qlikview code

·         Very familiar with Qlikview optimization techniques

·         Qlikview certification would be definite plus

·         Extracting data from database – Oracle, Teradata (would be a plus)

·         Worked on Qlikview apps that process very large data volumes (100s of millions of records)

·         Business knowledge of Order management or Financials is required, Service contract management would be a plus

·         Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI), Data Analytics technologies,

·         Development using PL/SQL

·         Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing to business and technology stakeholders

Senior Java OOP Programmer

Description:

The Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team.

This resource will work on two systems.

• First our Compliance, License, and Registration (CLR) system. This java application is a service in our eBusiness Center is external facing and is used by the regulated community of Solid Waste Facilities. The resource will provide coding support for the UI, webforms and data ingestion, validation and transformation. This will require experience   with JSP, STRUTS, JAVA J2EE and JDkv1.5
• Second in support of our online payment functions in the Ebusiness Center this resource will complete reporting  functions for our fiscal office to reconcile payment transactions with our payment vendor, our internal Revenue   system and the state’s financial system OAKS. Again there will  be UI development and backend JAVA coding  requiring  experience  with JSP, STRUTS, JAVA  J2EE and JDkv1.5.

Additionally there may be enhancements to the eBusiness Center framework as outfall of the above tasks .

In both cases the resource will work under the direct guidance of our senior application architect and be responsible for analysis, design, coding, and testing work.
